Expenses, bills, budgets and the money you share with other people, in one
ledger. Entries can start from the bank alert you already get, and your own
tracking works with no signal at all.
Screens are captures of the app running on an iPhone. The account behind them
is a test one, so every name and amount is made up.
9:41
A walk through it.
Six screens from the app as it stands, in the order you would meet them.
9:41
Every transaction, in one ledger.
Earnings and expense in one list, grouped by day, with the month’s net at the top. Filter to bills, to a group, to earnings alone, or search the lot.
Each row carries its payment mode, and a tag when it came from a bill or a split.
Your bank already texts you when money moves. Koshac can read that alert and leave the entry waiting as a draft.
Parsing happens on your phone. The message text never reaches our servers.
9:41
Adding one takes seconds.
Expense, earnings or a transfer between your own accounts. Amount first, then only the fields you actually want to fill.
Category, date, payment mode, account, and a link to the bill it pays.
Any of 71 currencies on the entry itself, not converted behind your back.
Make it recurring, or split it with a group, from the same sheet.
9:41
A budget is a rate.
Not a number you blow past on the nineteenth. Koshac divides what is left by the days that are left, so a budget tells you what today can cost.
One overall cap, plus a cap per category.
The warning comes at seventy per cent, not at a hundred and one.
Copy last month forward instead of rebuilding it.
9:41
See where it actually goes.
Earnings against expense, what that leaves, and the daily average - then the trend and the category breakdown underneath.
This month, last month or three months, without building a report.
21 categories to start with, and your own on top with their own icon and colour.
Export any period as a PDF statement.

Shared money, kept straight.
A trip, a flat, a game that keeps happening. Everyone sees the same balances, because the server works them out rather than somebody’s phone.
Five ways to split one bill: equal, exact amounts, percentage, shares, adjustment.
Add people from your contacts without your contact list leaving the phone.
Groups settle and drop out of the way, rather than piling up.
9:41
It travels with you.
71 currencies, converted at the day’s rate, and the trip sits in the same ledger as the salary.
Rates refresh on demand and the original amount is kept alongside the converted one.
An account directory covering 61 banks across nine countries, plus cash, wallet and savings.
Your own entries are written to your phone first, so a flight or a basement changes nothing.
One app. All of it.
The whole list. There is no upgrade that unlocks the second half, and nothing
here is an add-on.
71currencies
It travels.
71 currencies with conversion, and an account directory covering 61 banks across nine countries. The trip, the freelance invoice and the salary all sit in the same ledger.
5ways to split
It divides.
Equal, exact amounts, percentage, shares, adjustment. One bill, five ways to carve it, and the balances are worked out on the server so nobody argues with somebody else’s phone.
0bars of signal needed
It keeps working.
Your own transactions are written to an encrypted database on your phone before anything is sent, so a flight, a basement or a tunnel changes nothing. Splitting an expense with a group is the exception: that needs a connection, because the balances are worked out on the server.

Contacts

Appearance
Light and dark, and eight accent colours.
Accounts and payment modes are labels on your own records, not connections to
anything. Koshac is not a bank. It has no link to your bank, it
holds no money and it cannot move any - marking a split settled records that a
payment happened elsewhere, it does not make one happen. Nothing in it is
financial advice.
What Koshac is not
Six debts. Two payments.
Four people, a weekend in Goa, eleven expenses split five different ways. The
server works out the shortest set of transfers that clears everybody.

RahulKabir₹3,000

MeeraKabir₹1,010

RahulKabir₹2,240
Six separate transfers between four people.
₹10,800
moving between four people
₹4,100
once the balances net off
Aditi, Rahul, Meera and Kabir are invented, and so are the amounts. The
arithmetic is not: those six debts really do net to these two payments.
And it is a tab, not a spreadsheet.
Open a group and the balances are already worked out: what you are owed, what
each member owes, and the shortest set of transfers that clears it. Record a
payment and everybody's copy moves.
Balances are calculated on the server, so every member sees the same number.
Names and amounts are illustrative.

that the policy does not also say.

The database on your phone is encrypted with SQLCipher, and the app locks behind a
PIN or your face. Synced data sits in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase in
Mumbai, with the most identifying fields encrypted inside it; the API in front of
it runs on Google Cloud. We do not sell any of it.
